Construction Begins

Well I think I was rater excited at the progress that was told to me before we started, but now my bubble has officially been busted. To start, they people who delivered the metal bent a piece when they strapped it and I can't help but think it sticks out like sore thumb. not to mention the one day roof job is on its third day. I made plans with the contractor to take Friday off to see the shed, tree benches, and porch go up. Somewhere that was nixed and I was told only the roof this week. After a near fit, they decided that the roof and the shed would get done today. Did I mention that I promised to cook steaks if they get at least that done today? Anyhow they come this morning to finish the roof and the wrong size metal was sent, so only have one half of the roof covered. YAY! Then I notice what might be the wall and might be the floor frame to the shed....which appears small than discussed. They left for more nails and I ran out to measure it....and it is in fact two foot smaller than it was supposed to be. Called the contractor who first tells me I am wrong on the shed that he is replacing. After calling his guys who I was actually standing next to, they measured the old shed and the contractor decided that it was supposed to be bigger. Not trying to be petty, but two foot is two foot. OH, and the siding that is being replaced is not only a lighter color, but a completely different grain. So I am sitting here waiting on the siding, which won't be in until next week, and wondering whether it will be correct. And, still waiting on the right metal that was supposed to be here at noon to finish the roof today too. I had so many projects that I had in my head eager to start if this process went quick and smooth. Now, I am not so sure if I want to jump back into having to watch and check everything to make sure it is right. After all, isn't that what I am Paying for? Would love to hear any thoughts or shared experience.
